Red Lion Jesse S. Wagner, of Windsor Twp., died Tuesday evening, March 27, 2007 at his home. He was 17. Jesse was born May 19, 1989, in York. He was the beloved son of Lee E. (Grassetti) Wagner and the late Kurt A. Wagner. He was a junior at River Rock High School in Wrightsville and had also attended both Red Lion and West York Area Senior High Schools where he played soccer. He participated as an Ambassador to Holland in the People to People Soccer Program. He excelled as a member of the York USA and Metro Soccer Clubs while in junior high school and also played on the Red Lion Select Soccer Team. He had been a member of the Red Lion Area Junior High Track Team and participated in the hurdles. Jesse also enjoyed snow boarding, fishing, and pick-up basketball games with his friends. He attended Living Word Community Church and its Youth Group and also helped with Vacation Bible School at church. He was a helper at the West Manchester Township's Safety Town program and participated with the Red Cross program. During the summers Jesse worked part-time at Rina's Farm. In addition to his mother, Jesse is also survived by his brother, Drew A. Wagner of Red Lion; his sister, Karli H. Wagner of Red Lion; a half sister, Lauren E. Wagner of Mechanicsburg; his paternal grandparents, George and Joyce Wagner of Altoona; and his maternal grandparents, Faith and Glen Smith of Red Lion and Stephen Grassetti of Taylor, PA. Jesse was also preceded in death by his father, Kurt A. Wagner and a sister, Danielle Nicole Wagner. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Saturday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday at Living Word Community Church, 2530 Cape Horn Rd., York with his Youth Pastor, the Rev. Rob Tucker, officiating. Private burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Jesse will be greatly missed by his very close knit family and countless friends. Donations in Jesse's memory may be made to the Karli H.
