Jesse J. Frederick, Jr.

NEW COLUMBIA - Jesse J. Frederick, Jr., 80, died Friday, December 25, 2015 at his residence. He was born on October 14, 1935 and was the son of the late Jesse J. and Dorothy E. (Rearick) Frederick, Sr. On March 19, 1961 Jesse married the former Doris A. (Guffey), who survives and they celebrated 54 years of marriage together this year. Jesse served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a graduate of the Milton Area High School Class of 1953. Jesse worked as a welder and retired after 25 years at New Columbia Joist. Jesse enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening especially his tomato plants, watching football and tinkering in the garage, always working on something. In addition to his wife, Jesse is survived by one son; Rickey J. Frederick of New Columbia, two daughters and one son-in-law; Darla M. Derr of Mifflinburg and Teressa L. and Scott Clayton of New Columbia, seven grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law; Marlin E. and Joyce Frederick of Montandon and two sisters and one brother-in-law; Jennet Guffey of New Columbia and Joann and Jack Speece of Lewisburg. In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by one brother-in-law; Robert Guffey. Memorial contributions may be made to SouthernCare Hospice, 1544 E. Third Street, Williamsport, PA 17701. A public viewing will be held 10:00a.m. – 11:00a.m., Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at The Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front Street, Milton followed by the funeral at 11:00a.m., with Dr. Win Allabough, Chaplain of SouthernCare Hospice officiating. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.
