Jerry C. Houser

RENOVO - Jerry Conrad "Tubby" Houser, 52, of South Renovo died Friday, April 7, 2017 at the Emergency Room at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo. He was born May 14, 1964 in Lock Haven a son of Norris Houser of South Renovo and the late Marcia (Saylor) Houser. Jerry was employed as a carpenter and previously worked at Coleman Construction, Avis America, Webb SuperGro and American Coastal Industries and also as a self-employed carpenter. He enjoyed fishing, darts, and softball. He was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He loved sports from horseshoes, golf, basketball and everything in between. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He had a special way throughout his life. He will be missed by many and remembered by all. He was a member of the Eagles and the American Legion of Renovo. Surviving are his father and a son Gordon R. Houser both of S. Renovo. Four brothers Robert (Debbie) Houser of North Bend, Jack (Lisa) Houser of S. Renovo, Jay (Peggy) Houser of Philadelphia and Ronald (Lori) Houser of S. Renovo. Also three sisters Connie (Lee) Linberg of Hyner, Joni (Mike) McMillen of Altoona and Sue (Troy) Stone of Williamsport. A special friend Lori Dremel of North Bend also survives. Several nieces and nephews also survive. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 6:00 - 7:45 p.m. at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo. A reflection of memories and thoughts will begin at 7:45 p.m. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
