Jeffrey L. Torbert

Jeffrey L. Torbert, age 75, of West Manchester Township, died Friday, April 16, 2021 at his residence. He was the husband of Patricia A. (Link) Torbert. Born August 3, 1945 in York he was the son of the late James and Helen (Folkcomer) Torbert. He worked at Preston Trucking Company for over 25 years, York Graphic Services and retired from Gra-ham Engineering Corporation in 2005. Pat and Jeff spent the majority of their retirement years living at their cabin by Caledonia State Park and golfing together. Jeff especially loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchild. He was active in a men’s golf league over the years, was a coach for the West York Young Boys Club in the 70’s, an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, enjoyed hunt-ing and he served as a board member at Shiloh Ridge Associates. In addition to his wife of 60 years, he is survived by three daughters, Kimberly Sechrist and her hus-band Randy, of Dallastown, Jennifer Eyster and her husband Jon, of York and Tammie Mummert and her husband Mark of Cornelius, NC; 7 grandchildren Lindsay Fritz and her husband Nick, Megan Se-christ, Nicole Powell and her husband Ryan, Abby Kinlaw and her husband Andy, Christian Eyster, Jack Mummert and Nathan Eyster and 1 great-grandchild, Brayden Fritz. There will be no viewing or funeral, a celebration of life with family will be held at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.
