Jeffrey L. Raynes

DOVER—Jeffrey L. Raynes, 63, passed away Monday, July 31, 2023 at his residence in Dover Township. He was the husband of Pat S. (Kahlbaugh) Raynes to whom he was married for 40 years.

A Celebration of Life Service will be 3:00PM, Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York. Officiating the service will be Certified Celebrate Allison R. Duke. A viewing will be held from 2:00PM – 3:00PM, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Born July 3, 1960 in York, he was the son of the late Mack E. and Dorothy (Lytle) Raynes.

He owned and operated Industrial Polishing & Grinding, Inc.

An avid horse racing enthusiast, he also loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, boating and was a member of the South End Club. He always looked forward to Potter County camp visits where he was a founder and member of Buckbusters Hunting Club. However, he got the greatest joy from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Raynes is survived by one daughter, Stephanie L. Perez of Manchester; one son, Matthew E. N. Raynes and his wife, Danielle of York; seven grandchildren, Aliyah and her husband, David, Aiyana, Hunter, Caden, Alli, Kendall and Brady; two great grandchildren, Alayah and Arzola; one brother, Edward Raynes and his wife, Sherry of Dover, his dog & loyal buddy, Pearl and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dale E. Raynes and one sister, Debra Decime.
