Jeffrey L. Beatty

YORK - Jeffrey L. Beatty, 60, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2008 peacefully at home. He was the husband of Judy D. (Compton) Beatty. Tribute services and burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born November 4, 1947 in York a son of Emily (Rhine) Beatty of York and the late Fred Beatty, he had been a surveyor for Central Locating Underground. Jeff served four years in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Beatty is survived by two daughters, Renae and husband Chris Hodges and Stephanie Vanwick; a son, Frederick Beatty; a sister, Joann Laughman; three grandchildren; a nephew; five nieces; and extended family and friends. Contributions in honor of Jeff may be made to a favorite charity.
