Jeffery Lee Peters

DANVILLE - Jeffery Lee "Jeff" Peters, 49, died on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at the Geisinger Medical Center Danville. Jeff was born on November 21, 1960 in Danville, and was the son of Walter H. and Patricia L. (Pritchard) Peters of Danville. He was a 1978 graduate of Danville Area High School. Jeff was a veteran of the US Navy and served on the USS Coral Sea Aircraft Carrier where he received a combat medal. He had worked for Harry Lewis and then became a self employed carpenter. He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his father and mother, he is survived by two brothers and sisters-in-law; Walter H. and Joanne Peters, III of Danville and Patrick P. and Heather Peters of Bloomsburg, one sister and brother-in-law; Kim E. and Bill Nuss of Danville, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. There will be a public viewing from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the Dale E. Ranck Funeral Service, 125 N. Front St., Milton with the funeral service beginning at 7 p.m. with the Reverend Jill V. Seagle officiating. Burial will be held 1 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010 at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1704 Warren Ave., Williamsport, PA 17701.
