Jeannie M. Otto Jeannie M. Otto, 85, formerly of Port Carbon, passed away Tuesday evening at Schuylkill Center. Born in Pottsville on January 16, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Margaret Beverage Hoak. She was a graduate of Pottsville High School. She was employed as a department manager for the former Pomeroy's of Pottsville, and an executive secretary for the Schuylkill United Way. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Pottsville. Her husband, Richard "Dick" Otto, who died May 26, 2007; four sisters Martha, Irma, Betty, and Harriet, two brothers Donald and William Hoak preceded her in death. She is survived by a niece and her caregiver Susan, wife of Bradford Hall, of Newtown, PA, and her honorary grandchildren Brandon and Tori Hall, a brother, Harold Hoak, Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday morning at 1:00 p.m. from the United Presbyterian Church, Mahantongo St., Pottsville. The Rev. Susan Reichenberg and Rev. Elmer Davis will officiate. Friends may call on Friday morning from 12:00 P.M. until time of service. Interment will be held in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
