Jeanette A. Wolf

YORK- Jeanette A. (Rose) Wolf, 93, died on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Misericordia Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late J. Frederick “Fritz” Wolf who died on October 15, 2009. The couple had been married for 59 years until his passing.

Services for Mrs. Wolf are private at the convenience of the family at Prospect Hill Cemetery. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.

Born on May 14, 1931 in York, she was the daughter of the late Charles Rose and Helen C. (Weitzel) Provenza. Jeanette was a 1949 graduate of William Penn High School. She worked for the former York County Gas Company and Columbia Gas of PA, retiring in 1986.

Mrs. Wolf was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in York. She was also a member of the York County Women’s Golf Association, Grandview Golf Club and the Firefighters Association of the State of Pennsylvania Women’s Auxiliary.

Jeanette is survived by her daughter, Jan M. Balko of Selden, NY; son, Steven K. Wolf and his wife, Teresa of York; five grandchildren, Matthew Longenberger and his wife, Nicole of Milton, PA, Mason Longenberger and his wife, Rose of Milton, PA, Jamie Diez of Selden, NY, Megan Conway and her husband, Travis of Richmond, VA and Sean Wolf and his wife, Deonna of Thornton, PA; seven great grandchildren, Tyler Sokolas of Milton, PA, Aubrey Conway, Kylee Conway, Zoe Conway, Makenzie Conway all of Richmond, VA, Ava Wolf of Thornton, PA and Jack Wolf of Thornton, PA; and son in law, Mike Longenberger of Milton, PA. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Margie Longenberger; and brother, C. Todd Rose.
