Jean S. (Seeber) Dilks

FAYETTEVILLE- Jean S. (Seeber) Dilks, 100, died on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Paramount Senior Living. She was the wife of the late Robert G. Dilks, Sr. to whom she was married for over 25 years until his passing in 1976.

Services for Mrs. Dilks are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.

Born on August 12, 1923 in Ardmore, she was a daughter of the late Carl and Viola (Miller) Seeber. Jean was a secretary for Prudential Insurance Company until her retirement in 1949.

Mrs. Dilks was an active member Landsdowne United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was an avid supporter of the Humane Society of the United States and loved to sing.

Jean is survived by her son, Robert Dilks and his companion, Millie of Chalfont; daughter, Deborah Wood and her husband, Jack of Orrtanna; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Webster and Nancy McMahon.
