Jean Putkisto

GETTYSBURG, PA – Jean (Krollfeifer) Putkisto, 82, passed away Saturday, November 25, 2023. She was the wife of the late Henry Allan Putkisto with whom she celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Born November 5, 1941 in Jersey City, NJ; a daughter of the late Howard and Viola (Preston) Krollfeifer, she was a graduate of Rutherford High School in Rutherford, NJ. Mrs. Putkisto had worked as an office manager for doctor offices while living in New Jersey. Jean was a member of Somerville, NJ BPO Elks Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Putkisto had six children, Jeffrey and wife Katie Putkisto of Maryland, Stacie and husband Steve Keyser of Pennsylvania, and Scott Niskach of Utah; two stepsons, Charles Putkisto of New Jersey, the late James Putkisto of Pennsylvania; a stepdaughter, Lori Putkisto-Walsh of New Jersey; and six grandchildren, Michael and Allison, Zach and Kate, CJ and Alexis.

Tribute services will be private with burial in Rural Cemetery of Rutland in Massachusetts. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, PA is in charge of arrangements.
