Jean Marie Robinson

WELLSBURG, NEW YORK Jean Maire Robinson Passed away with her family at her side on Thursday, August 30, 2007 at St. Joseph's Hospital following a lengthy illness. Jean was born January 15, 1935 in New Albany, PA daughter of the late Roscoe and Susan Arenda Cox. She and Stephen L. Robinson were married on April 13, 1957. Jean was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many area kids. She will be deeply missed by her many family and friends. She was a very active member of the community. She could always be found volunteering and working with the Wellsburg Fire Department and the Chemung Valley Waverly Lodge F&AM #350. Survivors include her husband Stephen Leslie Robinson of Wellsburg, NY, sons and daughters-in-law, Michael Stephen & Jackie Robinson of Millerton, PA, James Nelson Robinson of Wellsburg, NY, Jeffery Leslie & Donna Robinson of Wellsburg, NY, David Russell & Anne Robinson of Arkport, NY, seven grandchildren including Nicole Robinson and James Nelson Serfas who took care of their grandmother, great grandson, Calvin Gene Bailey, two sisters, Patricia Farley of Corpus Christie, TX, Florence Flynn of Largo, FL, a brother Roy Cox of Dushore, PA, several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parent's brothers, Lincoln Cox and Ray Cox predeceased Jean. Family and friends are invited to call Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 6 to 8 PM at the Roberts Funeral Home, Inc. 279 Main Street, Wellsburg, NY. Her funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 8 PM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Ashland Cemetery, Wellsburg, NY. Memorials are directed to the Chemung Valley Waverly Lodge F&AM #350 or to the Wellsburg Volunteer Fire Department.
