Jean M. (Harbaugh) Frey

DALLASTOWN- Jean M. (Harbaugh) Frey, 85, went to be with the Lord Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Manor Care Health Services in Dallastown. She was the wife of the late John R. Frey, who passed away September 3, 1985. A Graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 in Windsor Cemetery, with her Pastor, Reverend Steven Schmuck officiating. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, is in charge of arrangements. Born October 29, 1931 in Hanover, Jean was a daughter of the late Lester and Annie L. (Miller) Harbaugh. She worked mainly as a homemaker, but during the 80’s and 90’s Jean also worked as part of a kitchen staff and also in housekeeping for others. She loved going on trips to see her beloved covered bridges. She also enjoyed attending concerts, especially to see her favorite country singer, Vince Gill. The two things she most enjoyed were attending and being involved in Church, and spending time with her cherished family. Jean was a loving wife, mother, and a friend to all, and will be greatly missed by everyone whose life she touched. Mrs. Frey is survived by three daughters, Kathi Frey and her husband Walter of New Bridgeville, Penny Myers and her husband Tim of Brogue, and Trudi Metheny and her husband Jesse of Windsor; a step-son, Terry Frey and his wife Susan of New Bridgeville; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan, Sandie, Laurie, Hope, Matthew, Stacia, and Brayden; nine step-grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, and a great-great granddaughter. In addition to her husband and parents, Jean was preceded in death by her sister, Charlotte Harbaugh. Memorial contributions may be made to the Red Lion Bible Church & Christian School, 105 Springvale Rd, Red Lion, PA 17356.
