Jean L. (Phillips) Dodrer

KING OF PRUSSIA – Jean L. (Phillips) Dodrer, 89, formerly of York, passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Arden Courts Assisted Living – King of Prussia. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth E. Dodrer.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with Certified Celebrant Allison Duke officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Rose Cemetery.

Born May 29, 1933 in Sandy Hook, Maryland she was a daughter of the late Robert L. and Pearl A. (Keyser) Phillips. Mrs. Dodrer was a devoted member to Zion United Methodist Church, and served on the Alter Guild for many years. Mrs. Dodrer was also a very committed homemaker, she always kept her house clean, and was known for her wonderful cooking. She would often times cook meals for many of the kids in the neighborhood.

Mrs. Dodrer is survived by two daughters, Amy L. Dodrer, and Nancy Arabinick; a granddaughter, Natalie Grace Arabinick; a niece, Patricia (Derr) Johnson (Randy); and a nephew, Ronald Derr. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Dodrer is preceded in death by a son, Paul E. Dodrer; and a brother, Donald L. Phillips.
