Jean L. (Bayletts) Schilling

Jean L. (Bayletts) Schilling, 98, of Renovo, died Sunday, March 18, 2018 at Bucktail Medical Center, Renovo. She was born in Bellefonte and was the daughter of the late Daniel W. and Mary May (Markle) Bayletts. On January 9, 1937 Jean married the late Harry C. Schilling and they were married for 69 years until his death on October 25, 2006. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ, Boalsburg and the Kettle Creek – Tamarack Sportsman’s Association. Jean was a homemaker and enjoyed hunting, being at camp but most of all she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Ronald H. and Patsy A. Schilling of Anchorage, Alaska, one daughter and son-in-law; Annie L. and Bruce Scrimshaw of Renovo, four grandchildren; Mandie, Debbie, Cathy and Becky, two special great grandsons; Porter and Jaxson along with numerous other great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Jean was preceded in death by two brothers; Harry and Norman Bayletts and two sisters; Irene Grove and Betty Klinger. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bucktail Medical Center Activities Fund, 1001 Pine Street, Renovo, PA 17764. A public viewing will be held from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo followed by the funeral at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Doug Conway officiating. Burial will take place in Boalsburg Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
