Jean Elizabeth Eck

YORK - Jean Elizabeth (Weigard) Eck, 83, passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late David L. Eck.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 16, 2023 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Rev. Patricia Snyder officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2:00 PM at the Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.

Born December 9, 1939, a daughter of the late Mary (Stambaugh) Geise and the late Fred Weigard, she was a graduate of West York High School. Mrs. Eck had worked at the former York Telephone & Telegraph. Later, she was an aide at Grace Loucks Elementary School and had worked at Candlewyck Card Store in the former Delco Plaza. Jean was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and enjoyed being part of the York County Corvette Club with her husband.

Mrs. Eck is survived by two sons, Edward L. Eck of York, John D. Eck and wife Mariluz Santiago-Eck of Red Lion; and three granddaughters, Amanda, Ashlee, and Giulietta Eck.
