Jean C. Bailey

YORK - Jean C. (Matthews) Bailey, 85, passed away Friday, December 30, 2022 at Nottingham Village, Northumberland Co. She was the wife of the late Owen W. Bailey, Jr.

Mrs. Bailey was born on June 9, 1937 in York Co., a daughter of the late Edwin and Esther C. (Keesey) Matthews. She was a member of Bethany U.M. Church in York and enjoyed reading and needlepoint.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by a daughter, Vicki L. Bailey of Lewisburg, PA; a son, Shawn M. and wife Diane Bailey of Red Lion; three grandchildren, Megan Heidler, Joseph McFarland, and Ashley Wilson; four great grandchildren, Tiffany and Seth McFarland, and Sienna and Violet Wilson; and a sister, Faye Sommers of York.

Tribute services will be private with burial in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements.
