Jean A. (Kline) Shaner Zumbrum

YORK - Jean A. (Kline) Shaner Zumbrum, 63, of West Manchester Twp., died at 7:22 p.m. Friday, July 10, 2009 at home with her loving husband, Gerald, by her side. A service to celebrate Jean's life will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Shiloh Lutheran Church, 2201 Church Rd., York. She generously willed her body for ALS Lou Gehrig's Disease research to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory is in charge of arrangements. Jean was born August 31, 1945, in Boyertown, Berks County. She was the daughter of the late Earl and Kathryn (Matthias) Kline. She was a 1963 graduate of Boyertown High School and later earned her Registered Nursing degree from Montgomery County Community College in Blue Bell. She retired in 2005 as a Nurse Manager at Harrisburg State Hospital after more than 20 years of service. She was a member of Shiloh Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling and especially loved spending the winters in Florida with her husband. She also enjoyed her favorite hobby, sewing and was a member of a local doll club. In addition to her husband, Jean is survived by her step daughter, Lori Lockhart and husband, William of Sarasota, Florida; her two step grandchildren, Collin and Olivia Rose Lockhart; and her two brothers, Harvey Kline of Bechtelville and Jay Kline of Birdsboro.
