Jean A. (Homnick) Brennan

HANOVER TOWNSHIP-Jean A. Brennan, 81, of Hanover Township, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2011, at Special Care Hospital, Nanticoke. Born on Sept. 13, 1929, she was a daughter of the late John Homnick and Freda Croughn. Jean was a wonderful mother who loved raising her children and taking care of her family. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Her favorite activities included picnics, watching movies and going out to eat. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, John and Elmer Homnick. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Martin, Dale(Kathy Eddy), and David Brennan; daughter, Debbie Villano; grandchildren, Gail, Erica and Rachael Brennan; brothers, Dale(Peggy) Homnick, NJ, Leo and Mike Croughn, Wilkes-Barre; and sisters, Phyllis Bafunno, Mountain Top, Ruth Yermal, White Haven, and Mary (Gary) Russel, Wilkes-Barre. The service will be held Monday evening at 8:00 p.m. at Kniffen O’Malley Funeral Home, Inc. 465 S. Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. Family and friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. The family requests that flowers be omitted.
