Jason D. Sweigart

DOVER- Jason D. Sweigart, 38, of Conewago Township, passed away unexpectedly at his residence. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 16, 2013 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road in York, with a visitation from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Certified Celebrant Betty Frey will be officiating the service. Jason was born in York on April 4, 1975, the son of Kenneth C. Sweigart of Dover and Donna M. (White) Labaw of McCormick, SC. Jason graduated from Spring Grove Area High School and was a US Army veteran. He worked as a contractor for Direct TV in York. Jason was an avid collector of snakes, an enthusiastic outdoorsman, and an expert marksman. He especially loved fishing with his children. In addition to his parents, Jason is survived by his two beloved children, Joseph Daniel (“J.D.”) Sweigart and Madison Cheyenne Sweigart, both of Camp Point, IL; a sister, Tracy L. Manson and her husband Dan of Red Lion; a nephew, Damian E. Manson of Red Lion; two grandmothers, Faith M. Sweigart of Amherst, MA and Mary C. White of McCormick, SC; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Memorial Contributions may be made to SPCA, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
