YORK - Janice Mae (Markle) Bradley, 71, of Springettsbury Twp., passed away at 8:01 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Susquehanna Valley Nursing Home, Columbia. She was the wife of Clair J. "Jim" Bradley with whom she celebrated a 39th wedding anniversary on November 29th. Following cremation, memorial services and burial at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens will be held at a later date. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Bradley was born May 26, 1936, in Bellefonte, Centre County. She was the daughter of the late Blair E. and Mildred M. (Love) Markle. She had been a machine operator with the former US Expansion Bolt in York for 15 years until retiring in 1994. She was a member of First Moravian Church and Chapter #24 of AARP. Some of her favorite things to do included knitting, crocheting and stitching plastic canvas as well as playing Bingo. In addition to her husband, she leaves four grandchildren, Misty L. Ott of York, Holly G. Evans of Poplar Bluff, MO, David L. Stimpson of York and Erick Stimpson of Poplar Bluff, MO; five great grandchildren; a brother, William Markle of Pleasant Gap, two sisters, Betty Salvi of Lewistown and Virginia Moore of York; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine A. Hancock of Missouri in 2006; a grandson, Blair James Stimpson; a brother, Mick Markle; and two sisters, Maryellen Reed and Eunice Mulberger. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the York Cancer Center Patient Help Fund, Suite 194, 25 Monument Dr., York, PA 17403 or Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Dr., P.O. Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.
