Janice L. (Bohlen) Grim

York—Janice L. (Bohlen) Grim, 50, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at University Hospital in Maryland. She was the wife of the late Philip A. Grim. A Celebration of Life Service will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd, York is in charge of arrangements. Born May 24, 1963 in Davenport, IA, she was a daughter of Kathleen (Sanders) Orozco and her husband, Gilbert of York and D. Henry Bohlen and his wife, Barbara of W. Burlington, IA. A 1981 graduate of Central York High School, she continued her education by earning a nursing degree from York College and later completed her master’s degree in education. She was employed as Registered Nurse for several years working with York Hospital and several York area nursing homes. In addition to her parents, Janice is also survived by one brother, Scott H. Bohlen and wife, Amy Beth of York; three step-children, Philip A. Grim II, and wife, Ginny of Wellsville, Tyler J. Grim and wife, Neely of York and Eryn Grim of Dover; step brother, John Fruehling and wife, Lindsay of Burlington, IA; four step sisters, Patricia Chenenko and husband, Rickey of New Jersey, Dona Marie Walters and husband Brad of Dover De., Amy Pearson and husband, Scott of Davenport, IA and Anne Leo and husband, Lance of Charlotte, NC and one uncle, Richard Montgomery and wife Jennifer, of Kansas City, MO. She was preceded in death by a maternal grandmother, N. Ruth Montgomery and aunt, Marcia Rae Hunter.
