Janet (Zilinsky) Corbett

DURYEA-Janet (Zilinsky) Corbett, 60, of Duryea, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2008, in Kindred Hospital Wyoming Valley, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Avoca on March 7, 1947, she was a daughter of Stella (Ostrowski) Zilinsky, Avoca and the late John Zilinsky. She was 1965 Graduate of Northeast High School and prior to retirement was employed as a bookkeeper at Kaminski Brothers, Pittston Township. She was a member of SS Peter and Paul Church, Avoca. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Corbett who passed away in 1993. She is survived by her brother Edward Zilinsky and his wife Wanda, of Mountain Top; two sisters, Frances Galasso and her husband Frank, of Sarasota, Florida, and Rose Ann Intihar and husband Andrew of Catlett, Virginia. Also surviving is her brother-in-law William Corbett, of Avoca and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in SS. Peter and Paul Church, Avoca. Anyone wishing to attend should go directly to the church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, friends may make contributions to the American Lung Association of Pennsylvania, Kirby Health Center, 71 North Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701 or a charity of their choice.
