Janet (Mcclelland) Lamont

TROY-Janet (McClelland) LaMont, 83, of Troy, PA went home to be with her Lord on Monday, September 10, 2007 at the Bradford County Manor. She was the wife of the late Lawrence E. LaMont who passed away on July 16, 1978. Family and friends are welcome to call from 7:00-9:00 PM on Thursday, September 13, 2007 and again on Friday morning from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Gerald W. Vickery, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc. 110 West Main Street, Troy, PA. The funeral service to honor Janet's life will be held after the viewing at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 14th at the funeral home with Rev. Steven Neff of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Tioga, PA officiating. Burial will follow the service in Bradford County Memorial Park. Janet was born on October 29, 1923 in Springfield Township, Bradford County, PA. She was the daughter of the late Burton W. and Ruby (Barrett) McClelland. Janet was a farm wife and mother, was a past grange member, was a faithful Christian believer, and was an avid history bluff. She was particularly interested in the American Civil War. Janet is survived by her son Wayne H. (Barbara) LaMont of Mansfield, PA, her daughters: Cleo E. (Carl) Osgood of Troy, PA and Kay L. (Michael) Smith of Burlington, PA, her grandchildren: Wendy (David) Steiner, Timothy LaMont, Tammy Smith, Jan (Bruce) Roy, Kathy (Brian) Shepard, Darren (Kim) Smith, Neal (Candy) Saunders, Shana (Charles) Lewis, Justin (Sandy) Smith, Kelly Smith, and Bobby Smith, nineteen great grandchildren, her sister Joann Boyce of East Canton, PA, several nieces and nephews, and special friend, Mark Scott. Janet was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her infant son Neil Burton LaMont, her brothers: Boyd and Bruce McClelland, and son-in-law Ronald L. Saunders.
