RED LION- Janet Mae (Swords) Knisely, 74, died on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at Colonial Manor. She was the wife of Bradley Knisely. The couple planned to celebrate their 53rd wedding anniversary on September 2nd. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, August, 26, 2015 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with the Reverend Steven C. Almquist officiating. Viewings will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday, both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Freysville U.M. Cemetery. Born on July 13, 1941, she was a daughter of the Paul R. Swords and the late Anna (Lecrone) Swords. Janet worked for Imagineered Signs and later as a cafeteria worker for Red Lion School District until her retirement. Mrs. Knisely attended Living Word Community Church. She enjoyed traveling on bus trips, crafts and her dog, Cooper. Along with her husband, Bradley, Janet is survived by two sons, Troy L. Knisely and his wife, Stacey of Dallastown and Todd E. Knisely and his wife, Tracy of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Kelsey, Leanna, Brady and Logan Knisely; one sister, Darlene Gladfelter and her husband, Mark of Red Lion; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to White Rose Home & Health Hospice, 1412 6th Ave., York, PA 17403.
