Janet M. (Dunlap) Ness

Brogue—Janet M. (Dunlap) Ness, 78, passed away, Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Manor Care Health Services-Dallastown. A celebration of life service will be 7 p.m., Monday, May 17, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with Chaplain Margie Smith of Heartland Hospice, officiating. A visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Monday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Born December 17, 1931 in Southern York County, she was a daughter of the late James H. Dunlap Sr, and Pauline G. (Brown) Dunlap. She was employed with Yorktowne Kitchens for several years, before working as a laborer with Gichner's in Dallastown. Janet loved Wednesday night bingo, cards and any kind of game, she also enjoyed fishing. She was an avid sports fan, especially the Philadelphia Phillies. Mrs. Ness is survived by four children, Wayne R. Knaub and wife, Carole of Brogue, Joe D. Knaub and wife, Angel of Seattle, WA, April L. Hoffman and husband, Albert of Red Lion and Una King of Wisconsin, 11 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, 6 sisters, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 sister and 5 brothers. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, 3417-C Concord Rd, York, Pa 17402
