EAST BERLIN - Janet L. (Altland) Auman, 77, passed away on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Pleasant Acres. Services for Janet will be private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory Inc. 1551 Kenneth Rd. York is in charge of arrangements. Born in East Berlin on March 5, 1944, Janet was the daughter of the late John Altland and Velma (Chronister) Frey. Janet was a CNA and worked many years at Rest Haven Nursing in York. Left to cherish her memory are her three sons, Scott Pifer Sr. of East Berlin, Rodney Pifer of Red Lion, Barry Pifer of Dover; two grandchildren, Dwayne Shaffer, Scott Pifer Jr.; great-granddaughter Olivia Pifer; two brothers, Barry Altland, Kenneth Altland, and two nephews, John Altland and Jason Altland.
