Janet Fay (Tarbert) Gohn

FELTON - Janet F. (Tarbert) Gohn, 88, passed away at York Hospital November 12, 2021. She was the loving wife of M. Dale Gohn, to whom she was married to for 71 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday November 18, 2021 at Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. in Red Lion. Prior to the service, a viewing will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. Born November 15, 1932 in Winterstown to the late William E. and Mary (Hartwick) Tarbert and the step daughter to the late Walter and Hattie Ludwig. She was 88 years old, just three days shy of her 89th birthday. She was a 1950 Red Lion high school graduate. Janet worked at Fishel’s Insurance Company, and the Acme grocery store, she was also homemaker for numerous people. She was a 71-year member of Bethel Church, Sunday school, and belonged to Ladies’ Aid for many years. She is survived by her husband, M. Dale Gohn; a daughter, Sandra Houck; two sons, Jeffrey Gohn, William Gohn and his companion Kathy Petry, all of Red Lion; four grandchildren, Warren Adams, Ross Adams, Seth Gohn, and Madison Gohn; 2 step-grandchildren, Corey Houck and Jennifer Houck; five great grandchildren; one great great grandchild, and two sisters, Helen Hudson, and Thelma Stump. Mrs. Gohn is preceded in death by a son, Bradley Gohn, son-in-law, Michael Houck; Olive Frey and Nellie Tarbert.
