YORK- Janet E. (Seiple) Halterman, 89 of West Manchester Township, died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Rest Haven in York. She was the wife of the late Harry L. Halterman. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham place in Red Lion, with a visitation from 1-2 p.m. Her pastor, The Reverend Stephen W. Yambor will be officiating at the service. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Mrs. Halterman was born in Hellam on April 9, 1922, a daughter of the late Ernest and Daisy (Sloat) Seiple. Mrs. Seiple was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Emigsville. She was a graduate of North York High School and a member of West Manchester VFW Ladies Auxiliary post 7374. She enjoyed playing cards, bowling and spending time with her family. Mrs. Seiple leaves two sons, Tom E. Halterman of Philadelphia and Jeffrey A. Halterman and his wife Kim of New Park; a daughter, Deana L. “Dee” Schaefer and her husband Karl of Wrightsville; three grandchildren, Sherry Strachan and her husband Steve, Kimberly Woodard and her husband Ron, and Maxwell Halterman; five great grandchildren, Brandon Hartman, Lauren Sprenkle, Dahlia Woodard, Pilar Kaplan, and Bria Kaplan; and a great, great granddaughter, Daijah Galloway.
