Janet C. (Morthland) Wunsch

YORK - Janet C. [Morthland] Wunsch, 71, died Saturday, July 21, 2007 at Manor Care North. She was the wife of the late Edward R. Wunsch and a companion of the late Edward H. Smith. A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at Everhart-Jackson-Heffner Funeral Home, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York with Pastor Larry M. Dentler officiating. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. A viewing will be from 9-10:00 AM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Born April 2, 1936 in York a daughter of the late Daniel W. and Charlotte R. [Litzinger] Morthland; she enjoyed listeneing to country music, playing bingo, and volunteering at Manor Care North. Mrs. Wunsch is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth A. Warren and Brenda M. Smith, both of York; four sons, David Peterson of Red Lion, Edward R. Wunsch, Randy S. Smith, and Terry A. Smith all of York; 11 grandchildren; three step grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; five step great grandchildren; a brother, Horace Morthland of Alabama; and three sisters, Bernice Miller of Hanover, MD, Jean Warner of Red Lion, and Dorothy Schmuck of York; and is expecting two great grandchildren in the coming months. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
