LOGANVILLE - Janelle R. (Fishel) Waltermyer, 80, passed away Saturday, April 17, 2010 at York Hospital. She was the wife of the late James J. Waltermyer. A celebration of life tribute service will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion with Rev. Harold Snyder officiating. Viewings will be held from 6-8:00 PM Tuesday and 12:30 - 1:30 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held at Mount Rose Cemetery. Born March 27, 1930 in Shrewsbury Twp., a daughter of the late Jacob R. and Clara (Hannigan) Fishel, she had worked at various sewing factories including Danskin Inc. and Merry Mites. Mrs. Waltermyer was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Jacobus and its Busy Bee's Sunday school class. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, drawing, and spending time babysitting her beloved grandchildren. Mrs. Waltermyer is survived by a son, James S. and wife Donna Waltermyer of Shrewsbury; three daughters, Judy A. and husband Dennis Weaver of York, Joan J. Waltermyer of Loganville, and Debbie J. and husband Kelsey McGuire of Red Lion; eight grandchildren, Sherry Davila, Brian Weaver, James and Jacob Waltermyer, and Nicole, Kelsey, Megan, and Lance McGuire; three great grandchildren, Maurice Kefauver V, Caitlyn and Sophie Weaver; a sister, Mary McClain of New Freedom; and a sister in law, Charlotte Fishel of Spring Grove. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters. Memorial contributions may be made to Christ U.M. Church, 200 N. Main Street, Jacobus, PA 17407.
