Janeen M. (Kennedy) Thoman

YORK- Janeen M. (Kennedy) Thoman, 58, died on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Carl D. Thoman, who died on August 28, 1989. The couple had been married for 13 years. A celebration of life memorial service and visitation will be held at 10 a.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2013 at New Visions Books and Gifts, 2594 Eastern Blvd., York., PA 17402 with the Reverend Robert Hall officiating. Burial will be in Red Run Cemetery and the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements. Born on February 28, 1954 in Plainfield, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Doris (Smith) Kennedy. Janeen worked at Martin Library for over 22 years until her retirement. Mrs. Thoman enjoyed reading, music, movies and especially loved her animals. Mrs. Thoman is survived by one brother, Michael Kennedy and his wife, Corrine of Sheridan, WY; one sister, Barbara Nicholas and her husband, Ron of Thomasville; mother in law, Madaline Thoman of West York; one sister in law, Jane Thoman of West York; and one aunt, Harriet Strayer of West York.
