Jane L. (Waughen) Sampsell

WATSONTOWN - Jane L. (Waughen) Sampsell, 72, died on Monday, September 28, 2009 at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. Jane was born on September 11, 1937 in Milton and was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Marguerite (Boyer) Waughen. She was a 1955 graduate from Milton High School. In 1962, she married Donald E. Sampsell in Elkton, MD who survives. Jane had worked at Weldens Factory, Milton Shoe Factory and Reeds Cleaners. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Watsontown and enjoyed NASCAR and camping. Her favorite driver was Ricky Rudd. In addition to her husband, Donald, she is survived by one daughter; Dawn Nickels of Muncy, one granddaughter; Rachel Smith of Watsontown, one brother; Kenneth Waughen of Milton, three nieces; Joy Roman, Wendy Dievler and Tracy Hauck and one nephew; Ben Dievler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter; Tina Louise (Sampsell) Smith in 2002. The graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2009 at the Milton Cemetery, Milton. The Reverend James Bond will officiate the services.
