Jane J. (Junggust) Chmiel

Spring Grove—Jane J. (Junggust) Chmiel, 74, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2008 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Edward A. Chmiel to whom she was married for 52 years. A celebration of life service will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 152 N. Main St, Spring Grove, with the Rev. Thomas Marickovic officiating. A visitation will be held from 12 to 1 p.m., Wednesday, at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York, is in charge of arrangements. She was employed as church secretary with Sacred Heart Catholic Church for many years, until her retirement. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Chmiel is also survived by one son, Gary E. Chmiel and his wife, Debbie of Newport, NC, and one daughter, Leslie J. Conlen and her husband John Jr., of West Lawn, Pa, three grandchildren, Kelly, Tessa, and Jake, one brother, Joseph Junggust of Woodbine, MD. She was preceded in death by one brother, George Junggust. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to York Hospital Palliative Care, 1001 S. George St, York, Pa 17405.
