Jane E. (Conrad) Ross

Jane E. (Conrad) Ross, 70, peacefully went to be with the lord on Thursday, December 20, 2007 after a very long illness. Jane was born on November 2, 1937 in Coudersport and was a daughter of the late George and Rose (Short) Conrad. Jane was a loving mother and homemaker and was a long time member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. As a young woman, she loved her music and sitting on the front stoop chatting with neighbors. She loved family, friends and her community. Her home was open to all. She will be greatly missed. Jane is survived by three sons; Francis Conrad and his wife Corrine of Pittsburgh, George Ross and his wife Loretta of Philadelphia and William "Billy" Ross of Philadelphia, two daughters; Sharon Parks and her husband Franz and Margaret Ross-Thornton, both of Williamsport, one brother; Robert Conrad of Williamsport and three sisters; Margaret Conrad of Williamsport, Annie Blanton of Williamsport and Jean Farrar and her husband Rock of Tarboro, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles A. Ross, one son; Charles M. Ross and one brother; Donald "Tank" "Harold" Conrad. The funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 2007 at the Allen & Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira St., Williamsport. The Reverend Quinton Blanton will officiate the services. Burial will follow in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. There will be a public viewing at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
