Jane C. Watkins

YORK- Jane C. Watkins, 80 passed away on Saturday February 14, 2009 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Channing B. Watkins to whom she was married to for 43 years. Private funeral services and burial will be in Fairview Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Glenmore. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York is in charge of arrangements. Born on January 7, 1929 in West Chester, a daughter to the late Samuel P. and Martha (Marshall) Chalfant. She owned and operated two businesses in Philadelphia for 46 years before returning to the family farm in Glenmoore in 1991. Mrs. Watkins is survived by one brother, Robert M. and his wife Ruth A. Chalfant of Exton, PA; and her "adopted" family, Michael Lane, Samatha Lane, Gene and his wife Donna Lane, all of York. Her family knows that she is at peace and happy in her new heavenly home.
