YORK(Loganville)- James Willmer Brant, 85, passed away on Friday, October 15, 2010 at his residence. He was the husband of Erma R. (Goodwin) Brant, who passed away on December 8, 1997. The couple wed on September 23, 1944. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Christ Lutheran Church, 80 S. Main St., Loganville, with Pastor Douglas L. DeStephano officiating. Viewings will be from 7-9 p.m. on Tuesday at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion and from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday at the church. Burial will be held at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens with a flag folding ceremony provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Mr. Brant was born on February 20, 1925 in Somerset, PA.,a son of the late Judd W. and Alida D. (Baker) Brant. James worked as a Design Draftsman for York International until his retirement. Mr. Brant was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. Mr. Brant served our country for two years in the United States Marine Corps. during WWII. James enjoyed bowling, cribbage, and playing softball for Borg-Warner. Mr. Brant is survived by a son, David J. Brant of Georgetown, DE; two daughters, Diana R. Harbaugh and her husband, Donald of York and Nancy L. Brant of Lancaster; two grandchildren, Darin Harbaugh of Philadelphia and Drena Brubaker of Phoenixville; two great grandchildren, Sylvan and Carson; and numerous nieces and nephews. James was preceded in death by a brother, Sydney Brant; and three sisters, Dorothy Deeter, Ruth Carney, and Nellie Miller.
