James 'Pete' Fox

POTTSVILLE- James “Pete” Fox, 62, of Pottsville, passed away Tuesday at Schuylkill Medical Center, East Norwegian Street, Pottsvile. Born in Pottsville on April 16, 1949 he was a son of the late Robert N., Sr. and Paulette Eroh Fox. Pete was a 1967 graduate of Pottsville High School. He received his Bachelor degree in secondary education from Millersville College in 1971. He was a teacher at Pottsville High School for over 30 years having taught Industrial Arts and Photography. He was also a freshman football coach for the Pottsville High School football team. Pete was a lifetime member of Good Intent Fire Company and a social member of the Yorkville Hose Company, Pottsville. He was a lifetime member of the NRA and a member of FOMH. He was a lifetime member of “Buckskinners” Hunting Cabin, Potter County. Pete was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia Eagles and every sport the Pottsville Crimson Tide played. He loved to hunt, fish and being in the woods. Pete is survived by his brother, Robert N. Fox, Jr., husband of Darlene and his sister, Pam Purcell, wife of Joe, both of Pottsville; his nieces and nephew, Becky Caplan, wife of Sloan, Ashley Russo, wife of Pete, Sean Purcell and Katie Purcell; his great nieces and great nephews, Caralina, Cate and Scarlett Caplan and Frankie and Jesse Russo. Funeral services will be held on Sunday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. in Schuylkill Memorial Park Chapel, Route 61 South, Schuylkill Haven. Family and friends may call on Sunday afternoon from 12:00 Noon until time of services at the chapel. Interment will immediately follow the service in Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven.
