James Michael Poch

WINDSOR - James Michael Poch, 61, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2011 at his residence. He was the husband of Adrienne Poch. The couple had been married for 30 years. A celebration of life tribute service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Pl., Red Lion with Pastor Gerry Stoltzfoos officiating. Immediately following the service, family and friends are invited for a time of remembrance at the Poch residence. Jim was born on December 2, 1949 in Phillipsburg, NJ, a son of the late Frank and Christine (Cavitch) Poch, Sr. Jim was a 1968 graduate of Cape Henlopen High School in Lewes, DE. He worked as a Food Service Delivery Driver for Aramark. Jim was a member of Freedom Valley Worship Center and proudly belonged to the NRA. His passions included gardening, cooking and combing the shoreline of Roosevelt Inlet for treasures. He had a great love of music and enjoyed playing the sax and hand drums. He was an excellent photographer and especially loved taking pictures of wildlife while kayaking and hiking. Jim was a talented man with an incomparable sense of humor who left our world a better place. Along with his wife, Adrienne, Jim is survived by three daughters, Layla Britton and her husband, Jamie of New Oxford, Marla Cox and her husband, Chris of New Freedom and Jessica Williams and her husband, Roger of Windsor; seven grandchildren, Jordan, Abigail and Emma Britton and Lynaya, Isabel, Mia and Ava Williams; two brothers, Frank Poch, Jr. and his wife, Mary Alice of Hockessin, DE and Ronald Poch and his wife, Sharon of Acworth, GA; and several nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, live plants for Jim's gardens would be greatly appreciated.
