MILL HALL - James M. Yahn, 74, of passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 at his residence. He was born August 16, 1936 in Lock Haven a son of the late W. Meredith and Frances (James) Yahn. Mr. Yahn was married to the former Margaret H. Sweeley who survives. He retired from Hammermill as a supervisor in 1995 after 39 years. He attended Living Faith Free Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren who were the joy of his life. James was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast. He also enjoyed sailing, daily coffee visits at Dunkin-Donuts and collecting radio-controlled planes. Surviving are his wife, one son Douglas (Sharon) Yahn of Lock Haven, two daughters Sherry Yahn of Plainfield, NJ and Christine (Raymond) Schliebener of Avon Park, FL. Two step-sons David (Shelley) Young of Gillette, PA and Boyd Lucas, II of Lock Haven, also two step-daughters Debra Walter of York and Pamela Young of Lewisburg. Six step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren also survive. He is survived by a brother, Wayne (Jane) Yahn of Beech Creek, a sister, Marcia (Lynn) Probst of Lock Haven and three nieces and three nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with the Rev. Brian Billings officiating. Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral chapel on Monday from 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to Living Faith Free Methodist Church, 7175 Nittany Valley Drive, Mill Hall, PA 17751. Interment will be at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
