James L. Myers

STEWARTSTOWN- James L. Myers, 78, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Bonnie L. (Mitzel) Myers. The couple wed on November 22, 1969. Born on January 28, 1938 in Clearfield, he was a son of the late Daniel L. and Rhoda (Cleaver) Myers. James was a truck driver for Consolidated Freightways until his retirement and worked part time for River’s Truck Center after retiring. Mr. Myers enjoyed model trains, snowmobiling, his trip to Switzerland and attending his grandsons BMX racing events. He also loved auto racing and raced cars in his younger years. Along with his wife, Bonnie, James is survived by one son, Troy D. Myers of Wrightsville; two grandchildren, Dawson Myers and Kiley Myers; one brother, David Myers and his wife, Geri of Hummelstown; and two sisters, Sally Hopkins of Red Lion and Gloria Willauer and her husband, Robert of Dayton, OH.
