Watch Video Tribute Windsor—James L. Beckley, 76, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at his residence in Windsor Township. He was the husband of Anna Mae (Hoover) Beckley with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage on September 2nd. A funeral tribute service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Life Tributes by Olewiler and Heffner Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc, 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion, with his pastor, the Rev. Mark W. Jeske, officiating. A viewing will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Born October 28, 1932 in Bentley Springs, Maryland, he was a son of the late Charles A. and Mary S. (Gibbs) Beckley. He was employed with Cooper Tools, formerly Campbell Chain for 35 years, as a welder until his retirement in 1995. An avid sports fan with a passion for playing golf, he once got a hole in one on the 145 yard 5th hole at Heritage Hills. He was also a former member of Cool Creek Golf Course and a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church-Freysville. In addition to his wife, Mr. Beckley is also survived by one son, James W. "Jim" Beckley of Columbia, three daughters, Carol A. Grove of E. Prospect, Christine A. "Chris" Miller of Red Lion and Cheryl A. Braner of E. Prospect, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 3 step great grandchildren, one brother, Harry Beckley of Red Lion, 3 step sisters, Carrie Hamilton, Orpha Scott and Ruth Keller, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Beckley, one sister, Lucy Lutz, and three step brothers, Chet, Gerald, and Dale Smith. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church-Freysville, 2650 Freysville Rd, Red Lion, Pa 17356 or VNA/Hospice Services, 912 S. George St., York, Pa 17403.
