James Kramperth

YORK- James Kramperth, 73, died on Monday, April 14, 2025 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Dorothy V. (Ferrara) Kramperth. The couple planned to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on September 13th.

Services for Mr. Kramperth are private at the convenience of the family. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd., York is in charge of arrangements.

Born on January 10, 1952 in Forchheim, Germany, he was a son of the late Ludwig and Kunigunda (Dennerlein) Kramperth. James received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Engineering from Buffalo University in 1974. He worked as a civil engineer for WBCM Engineering until retiring this year.

Mr. Kramperth was a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the American Society of Highway Engineers. In his spare time, he loved golfing, fishing, pinball, puzzles and games. Known as Pop, he loved his family first but also loved his career.

Along with his wife, Dorothy, James is survived by his son, Scott; daughter, Kerri; two grandchildren, Nate and Addy; and his brother, Bob. He was preceded in death by his sister, Angela; and brother, Herb.
