James Keith Howard

James Keith Howard was taken by our Lord and Savior at his home in Florida on October 24, 2016. He was born February 4, 1945 in Middletown, Ohio to the late Donald E. and Mary E. (Hazelwood) Howard. He is survived by his wife, Sally Jane (Stough) Howard, a native of York now living in Leesburg, Florida, and his two children, Jennifer J. Howard of Lake Mary, Florida and James K. Howard II and his wife Laura and children Grace L. and Matthew J. Howard of Red Lion. He was preceded in death by his two brothers John A. and Thomas E. Howard. Jim and his wife met at the former York Junior College in 1965 and married the following year, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in April of this year. He was a manufacturer’s representative for the Wilton Armetale Company in Wrightsville, and later Vice President of Sales for Olde Country Reproductions in York. He served in the United States Army, becoming a Supply Specialist 5th Class during his service in Cam Ranh Bay, Vietnam. Jim enjoyed boating, NASCAR racing, and antique cars, along with all of the dogs and cats his wife adopted over the years, including his beloved parrot, Fred. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed so very much. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens.
