James H. Banks, Jr.

James H. Banks, Jr., 44, of Montoursville died Thursday, February 17, 2011 as a result of a motor vehicle accident. Born on May 19, 1966 in Williamsport, he was the son of James H. Banks, Sr., and the late Myrtle (Brown) Banks. He was a graduate of Loyalsock Township High School/Class of 1985. He was employed at Red Oak Water Transfer, as a pipeliner and fracker. Surviving besides his father of McAlisterville, are his fiance Teresa Waltz of Montoursville; two sons James H. Banks, IV, of Williamsport, and Kevin L. Banks of Cogan Station; stepson Justin Moon of Montgomery; three daughters Julie Banks of South Williamsport, Mia Banks and Tia Banks, both of Williamsport; stepdaughter Katrina Sherwood of Beech Creek; three grandchildren; three sisters Nancy Fry of McAlisterville, Lisa Banks of Warren, OH, and Rhonda Collins of Cogan Station. He is also survived by two step-sisters Kim Pepperman of Jersey Shore and Wendy Vincent of Williamsport. Besides his mother, James was preceded in death his sister Danette Banks. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Allen and Redmond Funeral Home, 331 Elmira Street, Williamsport with the Reverend Louis Gatti officiating. A visitation will be held during the hour prior to the service. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to the National Down Syndrome Society, (Buddy Walk), 666 Broadway, 8th Floor, New York, NY Cemetery: Private Interment Visitation: One Hour Prior to to the service.
