James E. Llewellyn

Red Lion--James E. Llewellyn, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Mary Ellen (Martin) Llewellyn to whom he was married for 27 years. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10AM, Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion. Officiating the service will be his pastor, the Rev. Eric Hallett. A viewing will be held from 9-10AM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Prospect Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by the York County Veterans Honor Guard. Born January 8, 1946 in Ft. Worth, TX, he was a son of the late Henry B. and Mary A. (Cowart) Llewellyn. He was employed as an electronics technician contractor for various nuclear power plants across the country. Jim spent the last 10 years of his career at Peach Bottom Atomic Power Plant until his retirement in 2002. A United States Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War, he was also a member of Glen Rock Church of Christ and Red Lion VFW. He enjoyed fly fishing, traveling, country music and was an avid sports fan. In addition to his wife, Jim is also survived by three children, Julie L. Reed of Allen, TX, Jody R. Callender of Red Lion and Jeff B. Llewellyn and wife, Fern of Blue Bell; 17 grandchildren; one brother, John Llewellyn of Killeen, TX; one sister, Janet Schleyer of Albuquerque, New Mexico; three step children, Shane E. Milburn of Perryville, MD, Dean L. Milburn of Wales, United Kingdom and Corinne M. Milburn of Airville and nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8517.
