James C. Bailey

DALLASTOWN - James C. Bailey, 82, died Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Faye A. (Eckard) Bailey to whom he was married for 50 years on May 5, 2012. Funeral services and burial will be held at a later date. Life Tributes by Olewiler & Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 35 Gotham Place, Red Lion is in charge of arrangements. Born August 20, 1929 in York, a son of the late Cletus and Edith (Shaffer) Bailey, he retired from Ronal Tool in York. Prior to working at Ronal Tool, Mr. Bailey was a truck driver for Seitz Trucking Co. and Glen Traditional Trucking Co. He enjoyed fishing and playing horseshoes. Mr. Bailey was a US Army veteran of The Korean War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Bailey is survived by two sons, James C. Bailey, Jr. of York and Bradley S. Bailey of Mt. Wolf; a step daughter, Kathy L. Bare of York; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four sisters, Betty Miller and Judy Foulk both of Dover and Mary Ridinger and Sue Kleiman both of York; and a brother, Ronald Bailey. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clair B. Bailey.
