Jacqueline E. Jackie" (Davis) Smith

WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP- Jacqueline E. "Jackie" (Davis) Smith, 81, of York passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on Sunday, January 6, 2008 at Manor Care Health Services North-York. She was the wife of the late Robert F. Smith. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. on Thursday at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Rd. in York, with a visitation from 10-11 a.m. Burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery in York. Mrs. Smith was born in Allentown on September 17, 1926, a daughter of the late Thomas G. Davis and the late Florence (Eimerbrink) Searle. She retired from York Hospital, where she worked in medical records and then she worked for Colonial Manor in York. Mrs. Smith was a 1944 Graduate of William Penn High School, a member of West York V.F.W. and Viking Athletic Club and played cards with various card clubs. Mrs. Smith leaves a son, Ronald F. Smith of Falls Church, VA and his wife Dalia, a daughter, Stephanie M. Ludwig of York; five grandchildren: Erin, Brian, Andrew, Kristy, and Rachel, a sister, Peggy Hamme of York and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons: Jeffrey and Steven Smith.
