Jacqueline D. (Carter) Banks

FALL RIVER, MA-Jacqueline D. (Carter) Banks, 79, of O’Grady Street, Fall River, MA, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011. A member of the V.F.W Ladies Auxiliary, Bedford Street, she was employed by the Fall River Unemployment Office, Fall River Nursing Home and in the Fall River School Department Lunch Program at the Kuss Middle School. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Minnie (Wilson) Carter; husband, Theodore H. Banks; sisters Janice Walker and Ethel Laws; and brothers James, William and George Carter. Surviving are son, GySgt Theodore H. Banks, Jr., USMC Ret. and his companion Anna Golderese of Fall River; daughter, Cynthia L. Britt and her husband Reggie of Virginia Beach; grandchildren, Danielle Ouellette, Terrell and Devon Alves, and Xavier Britt; great-grandchildren, Sincere, Terrell and Nania Alves; brothers, Dr. Russell Carter of Virginia Beach and Charles Carter of Cleveland; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Cheryl Brown Jelks and her best friend, Margie Thompson. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, June 25, at 10:00am from Kniffen O’ Malley Funeral Home, Inc. 465 S. Main St. Wilkes-Barre. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
