MILL HALL - Jacque E. (Edmiston) Bryerton, 88, passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Lock Haven Hospital Emergency Room. She was born November 23, 1927 in Philadelphia a daughter of Millard F. and Mildred M. (Burtnett) Edmiston. She lived in Altoona, New York City, Jersey Shore and eventually in the Lock Haven area. Jacque was married to Roy Bryerton who died in 1970. She taught for KCSD for 31 ½ years. She was a graduate of Lock Haven College in 1954. Her hobbies included sewing, reading, gardening, genealogical studies and travel. She is survived by a daughter Pamela (Harold) Rogers of Howard and a son Samuel Bryerton of DuBoistown, three granddaughters Dr. Colleen Rogers, Kelsey Rogers and Kaitlin Rogers. She is survived by several step grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as two stepdaughters Louise Powers of Lock Haven and Dorothy (John) Tressler of Lamar and two daughter-in-laws Mary Bryerton of Lock Haven and Bernadine Bryerton of Lamar. She was preceded in death by her husband, stepsons Richard, Bruce and Thomas Bryerton and a daughter-in-law Betty Bryerton also a sister Billie E. Harris. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, January 7, 2016 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. Friends and relatives will be received from 5:30 – 6:00 p.m.
